Black Friday Madness!!!

I attempted Black Friday shopping and all I can say is Oh My Goodness! LOL! People were crazy yesterday! My mom and I woke up at 5am and were at Walmart by 5:30am and already the parking lot was completely packed...not a single parking spot...and the lines went from the front of the store to the back! It was the most insane thing I have ever seen in my life! We had gone there to get an Ipod touch but quickly left when we heard that people had been in line over an hour and were still only halfway there. So off we were to the mall. Now that was a much better situation! I had the best time shopping with my mom. I can't even remember the last time we went shoping with no boys...they were at home sleeping with daddy. I got all my Christmas shopping finished except for the boys. While there I got some great deals at Gymboree so the boys got some new winter clothes. They were having an early morning sale, 30% off you entire purchase plus I had a 20% off coupon so that was 50% off! And I got $25 in gymbucks! Not a bad deal! After the mall my mom was exhausted so I dropped her off at home. Since it was only 8:30am at that point I headed off to Michaels to get some new Christmas decorations and then to Target to see what they had! By the time I got home it was only 10am but I had such a great morning and was greeted at the door by 3 handsome men! Can't beat that! Today we are going to decorate the house and maybe this evening I will start wrapping some presents!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of year! I love the food, time with family and the football!!!

Here is what I am thankful for this year:
*3 day potty training! LOL! This was such a life saver for us and now Aiden is on his way to becoming an adult!
*Hurricane Ike...for good reason. My Grandma Bootsy had to come up to Austin from Baytown and we spent alot of time with her while she was here. That was the last time I got to see her before she passed away.
*My parents...they are the bestest! They are so loving and supporting. I feel very lucky to be the one that God chose to put with them. I am a better because of them!
*My brother's brain surgeon...pretty much for the simple fact that he is still here! Elliot's surgery was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through and I am just glad it's over and he is a-okay!
*My sister and niece for walking with me in the mornings and playing at the park with my boys. We have had such a fun year!
*Our friends for always being there for us when we need to talk, vent, share our joys and sorrows. We love you!
*Nicole Whelan...our family photographer. For taking beautiful pictures of the most important thing in the world to me! Those pictures mean more to me then anyone could imagine.
*My BEAUTIFUL boys! I love them more then life itself and everyday with them is a blessing. I am thankful for their laughs, smiles, hugs, kisses and sweet words. They are the best thing I have ever done in my life and look forward to each year I get to spend with them, watching them grow and learn new things everyday. They are my heart!
*And last but not least...Cameron. I can't even begin to list the things that I am thankful for with him because it would be a book. But to list a few...he is the best husband in the world, a wonderful father who will forever love and support our boys (they have no idea how lucky they are), an amazing provider for his family, a wonderful cook, and the best dish washer this side of the Pecos! LOL!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with love and family!

I am living with a Top Chef!

Well...kind of! Since one of mine and Cameron's favorite show is Top Chef on Bravo I bought him the Top Chef cookbook for Father's Day. I have to say that it is really coming in handy! Sunday morning Aiden woke up acting like a typical 2 year old and driving me crazy! So Cameron pulled out the cookbook, picked a recipe, informed me that he was making dinner, packed up Aiden and off they went to the grocery store to get the ingredients. The break alone would have been enough but I got a gourmet dinner on top of it! He made spicy korean pork with sticky rice and kim chee. It was amazing!!!! Plus he did all the dishes and bathed the boys while I sat on the couch drinking wine and watching football! It was heavenly!

Alexi's First Birthday Party!

Yesterday was Alexi's (my niece) first birthday party. Her actual birthday is on Thanksgiving this year so Emily planned her party for the weekend before. It was really fun! I made the cakes which took me 4 hours to make yesterday morning while feeling awful! Everyone in my household is sick with a horrible cold! But we made it and had a great time!

Update on Santa pics!

Emily (my sister) went and looked at the proofs yesterday of my Santa pics and said they are hilarious! I can't wait to see them. She said there is one cute one of Aiden talking to Santa and then a crazy one of the 2 boys in Santa's lap. Asher is screaming and looks like he is falling, Mrs Claus is trying to catch him, Aiden looks terrified and Santa is smiling really big! I can't wait to see them for myself. I guess I should have them sometime next week and will post them!

Also I wanted to give a shout out to my brother Elliot! Today is his 17th bday!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLIOT!!!!!
...oh to be 17 again...

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Sunday afternoon Cameron and I took Aiden to see a reproduction of the Very Hungry Caterpillar at the Paramont Theater in downtown Austin. My mom's best friend has season tickets to the theater and were going to be out of town and wanted someone to use the tickets. We were more then happy! I have been wanting to take Aiden to see a show for awhile now. We decided to leave Asher with Papa (my mom) because he is still a little too young to sit through anything! LOL!
On the way too the play Aiden fell asleep in the car (it was during his naptime).

Before the play we got to make caterpillars! Aiden loves arts and crafts! He was the center of attention and had everyone laughing while he was making his caterpillar. He was so cute!
Photobucket
The Paramont Theater is gorgeous! This was the first time I had ever been there and it was amazing! Aiden was excited because we got really yummy snacks to eat while we waited for the play to start!
Photobucket
The play was actually a puppet show done with a black light. It was so neat looking and really grabbed the attention of all the kids there. Here was a picture of the stage before it started. I know it's a little blurry but hopefully you get the idea of what it looked like.

Last Tuesday the boys and I packed up the car and headed to Arlington to visit our friends the Crissey's and meet their newest member Carson. We had such a great visit and the kids had so much fun playing together! Here are pics!

Saw Santa Yesterday!

We went to Bartlett...a little town outside of Georgetown where my parents own a grocery store...because the local florist was having Santa come to her shop. First of all her shop is gorgeous...the backdrop for the pictures are going to be awesome! Luckily there were hardly any people there and we pretty much got to see him right when we got there. There was a professional photographer so they asked that we not use our own cameras so sorry for no pics. They will be ready to see Wednesday so I will post as soon as we get them. Anyways, moving on, to my surprise Aiden loved Santa! He sat on his lap and started telling him all the presents he wanted. It was so cute! Asher on the other hand was terrified! He didn't want to go near Santa. We did put him on Santa's lap and he just started screaming. It will probably make for a hilarious picture! Overall it was such a great experience because now Aiden is so excited for Christmas! I am really looking forward to this Christmas!

Great free photo editing program!

The photographer who took our pictures told me about it. It's called gimp. If you google gimp photo editing program a bunch of sites will come up that you can download it from. I did yesterday and it's great! I have alot to learn on it but it's alot like photoshop but it's free! Just wanted to pass along the info!

Asher's 18 month appointment

This morning we had Asher's 18 month well check up. He weighs 25 lbs (75%) and was 34" long (90%). Dr. DeHaro said he was growing perfectly and looked great! Asher was super grumpy this morning and cried through his entire appointment. I love our pediatrician because he was so sweet and great with Asher even though Asher wanted nothing to do with him. He said his speech was right on target and we just needed to start working on phrases with him. He also said that playing music around him was great for little boys. It helps them excel in math when they are in school...just thought that was an interesting fact. He did get one shot but he was already freaking out so I don't even think he noticed it! LOL! Anyway because he did so good and because Aiden was a PERFECT angel at the appointment we went out for lunch afterwards!

Family Pictures!

A couple of weeks ago we had a shoot with a local photographer so I could get some good pictures of our little family. It never works when we go to a studio plus I wanted something a little more natural looking. I am so happy with all the pictures! Here are a few of my favorites! We did a great group shot but I am using that for our Christmas card picture so I'm keeping it a secret...hehe!
