Day 59

Monday was a rough day for us! We had a very busy weekend and everyone was exhausted. Aiden had a really hard day at school so I wanted to make his day better after his nap. So after both boys were well rested we headed off on a nature walk. We are lucky that where we live, right behind us is woods. We headed back to the woods and they each picked out their favorite treasures they found. Being outside, breathing in the fresh air really helped our Monday get back on track!

Day 58

A great morning and afternoon spent with my littlest man. He loved the one on one attention he got from us but he kept asking for his brother. So stinkin cute!

Day 57

We spent the entire day at Cameron's softball tournament (which they won 2nd place!) so it was a long day. Aiden spent the night with my parents so Cam and I could have some alone time with Asher. We came home, ate pizza and watched The Karate Kid. Asher was so into the movie but couldn't make it until the end. He was just way too tired :)

Day 56

My new favorite addition to the house...oh and the boys like it as well ;)
I decided it was time to get out the baby toys and make the boys playroom a big boy room. So I sold the train table and used the money to buy a couch! I love sitting up there now while they play or watch cartoons. Sometimes I even bring up my laptop and do a little work. Lazy Friday at home :)

Day 55

To enjoy the beautiful day we headed to the park. This particular park has a few donkeys that the boys love to run over and feed right when we get there. It felt so nice to get out and enjoy the fresh air and the best part was some of our best friends met us there to enjoy the weather. It was a great afternoon!

Day 54

Here come the St. Patrick's Day decorations! This table sits in my entry way and ever since we bought our house (8 years ago) I decorate this table for every holiday. Yes I have decorations for EVERY holiday. Silly, maybe, but I enjoy it and so do the boys. They appreciate all the cute little things I set out. Asher told me this day "Mom, that table is beautiful. You are the best mom." He is so cute :)

Day 53

My new desk!!!!! Isn't it purty ;) I have just begun putting together my little office but I am so excited to have my own space...yay (sigh)

Day 52

Back to running after a 3 week break. Yeah...almost died :)

Day 51

Is there anything better then licking the icing out of the bowl? :)

Day 50

Day 50 we headed out to Lake Travis to celebrate my cousin Cara's 25th birthday! My Uncle and Aunt have bought a really cool house literally a 2 minute walk to the lake. We love going out there and plan to spend alot of time this summer hanging out! Their backyard backs up to the little creek. The water flows fast and is completely clear. We weren't there 5 minutes and the boys were in the water with their new nets I picked up on the Target $1 aisle. My little Huck Finn's :)

Day 49

This is the empty space where my old desk use to sit. Cameron brought it home from his office when he moved and I never really liked it but just used it since it was here. I've been spending alot of time at this desk lately because about a month ago I started working from home. My boss is my husband :) I do link work for his website and it takes about 15 hours a week. So anyways...I woke up on Day 49 and decided I would try to sell it o Craigslist. Who would have guessed that I would sell it the first day I listed it! So off to buy my new desk with the money! Wa hoo!!!!

Day 48

Finally we are feeling better! Yay! The weather lately has been so gorgeous, so this evening after dinner and bath we headed out to the backyard for some fun before bedtime. Winters in Texas rock!

Oh to be a kid again...

Day 47

Aftere 24 hours of being fever free I thought Aiden was in the clear. Boy was I wrong :( He woke up on Day 47 with 103 degree fever. Good thing I never put the medicine up.

Day 46

Another day spent in the house so I decided to break out the pictures and catch up on some much needed scrapbooking. I am so behind on both boys (over a year) so I needed to step it up and catch up. 4 pages later for Aiden and I am almost through his spring last year!

Day 45

Happy Valentine's Day! Our Valentine's was extremely uneventful. Aiden and I were still recovering from the flu so we spent the day in. Cam and I did however get the boys these super cute red Crocs for Valentines. I love making holidays special for my boys just like my parents did for me when I was younger. They were so super excited about their new shoes and ask to wear them everyday!

Day 44

Even though I was still feeling puney when I came across this in my bathroom it brought a smile to my face.

Who needs a security system when you have these guys standing guard. My boys are already protecting me and their Daddy :)

Day 43

Next on the flu's hit list...Aiden.

cell phone pic

At least we got some good snuggle time in while we were both sick.

Day 42

Bad, bad day :( For the first time in my LIFE I got the flu. Big time bummer...

I was sick from Wednesday-Sunday so that's why these posts and pictures are a little late.

Day 41

We might not be the average family where the Dad comes home every night for dinner. Heck we are lucky if he is home before the boys go to sleep! We do, however, get to eat breakfast together every single morning since he doesn't have to go to work until he wants to. I love mornings :)

Day 40

Day 40 was really cold and the weatherman was prediciting ice so I kept Aiden home from school. I was getting a few things done in the kitchen when I heard some silly giggling. These little guys thought they were pretty funny to steal these out of the kitchen and proceed to almost eat all of them in a matter of minutes!

Day 38

Monday's are always busy around here. This particular Monday my mom invited us over for dinner ( I know crazy considering she had us over the night before) so we headed over so I could catch up on some jogging and get some yummy dinner. After I jogged I headed downstairs to find the boys chopping up veggies with their "papa."

taken with cell phone

Day 39

After a couple of crazy days we needed some downtime. So we pulled out some of Aiden's new birthday toys and created a little magic :)

Day 37

Superbowl Sunday! And as usual we spent it at my parent's house where my mom showered us with delicious food and drink. I love being close to family :)

Day 36

It's a Superhero Squad big time birthday bash!!!!! Day 36 we celebrated Aiden turning 5 with a huge party! All his friends, old and new, were here to help us celebrate. We had a Spiderman bouncy house and a lady come and paint superhero faces on the kids. My birthday boy loves Ironman and wanted an Ironman face so that's what he got!

Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!

Day 35

It's a SNOW DAY!!!!!!!

I will admit I am totally freaking out because tomorrow is Aiden's party and we are having a bounce house. I mean seriously did it HAVE to snow today?! Luckily the weather for tomorrow is high of 59 and sunny so all the snow should be gone and it will probably feel warm compared to the high in the 20's we've had all week.

Day 34

Aiden has his well check today! He weighs 42lbs and is 44"tall...long and lean :) Dr. Deharo said he looked great! I told him how Aiden is memorizing words and he said that he should be reading in no time if I worked with him a little, so that's what we are going to do! Hard to believe my little dude is not so little but I love the boy he is turning into :)

Day 33

I know I have said it before but I LOVE Aiden's preschool! Today they invited Asher to stay for the day and help celebrate the Chinese New Year and Aiden's birthday at school. He was so excited and was practically running out the door to get there. He had a great day at school and I know Aiden was excited to have him there. I, on the other hand, missed him terribly! I am so not ready for both my boys to be in school ;)

Day 32

5 years ago today my life forever changed. After 24 hours of labor a beautiful baby boy was placed in my arms and forever changed my heart. I truly feel beyond blessed to have Aiden in my life. He is sweet, loving and very sensitive to other's needs. Thank you Jesus for allowing me to be his mommy :)
I have been planning the picture pose for weeks and it turned out perfect!

Day 31

My new apron! I bought it a few weeks ago but today was the first day I wore it...isn't it super cute :)

So this is actually a really big deal for me...I HATE having a picture of myself. Not sure why but I am not comfortable at all in front of the camera.

Day 30

Sunday was gorgeous! It was in the low 80's and sunny which of course makes for a perfect day in central TX! I feel so lucky that I get to raise my kids in the same area I grew up in. Taking them to places that my mom and dad use to take me makes my heart smile :) So in perfect tradition we loaded up the truck and headed downtown to eat at Dirty Martin's a famous hamburger restaurant. When we pulled up I can still remember being 7 years old and going in with my dad to eat up some greasy burgers, onion rings and shakes! Still smells the same, looks the same and still has the same type of college kid waiters that are a little more hippy then the average Austinite. After grubbing out, we drove out to the lake that's been drained this week. We walked around the same park that I did as that silly, carefree 7 year old girl. The boys loved throwing rocks in the water and looking for treasures in the mud, just like I use to. It's amazing to think that hopefully in the future they will bring their kids back to this place that will hold so many memories for our family. My future grandkids could walk on the same mud that my little feet use to...pick up the same rocks I held in my small hands and then the boys in theirs. Funny things was at the end of the day Cameron looked at me and said "you had a great time today didn't you?" Of course I answered with a huge smile "yes!" He said he knew I did because everytime he looked at me I was smiling and content. "I knew you loved today because it's what you use to do with your dad and I know how special that is to you." And it is...
Of course in true Jenny fashion I took a billion pictures but this one was my favorite. This is my little family right now...just the 4 of us and I couldn't be happier...

Day 29

Okay so I will admit this...I am really spoiled :) By my mom that is! We have dinner at her house at least 2 times a week. This week we went over Saturday evening for dinner and afterwards Cameron, my dad and brother headed off to the UT basketball game. Yummy enchiladas, spanish rice and browines. Yum to the O! My mom is seriously the best cook I have ever met and I am lucky that she loves to fill our bellies with her homecooked goodness :)

Day 28

Girl's Night In...Movie Night!!!!!

I had been looking forward to this evening for weeks! One of my besties Eve invited a group of us ladies over to watch Best Little Whore House in Texas! Ha! We had a blast and the movie was super cute. I know I have said this before but I really feel beyond lucky to have found such great friends with kids my kids age. Thank you Lord for allowing these ladies to be in my life :)

Day 27

Here are the beautiful crosses the boys painted last week at Ceramic Lodge! We glued magnets to the back and now we have the perfect birthday present for Nana.

Its been really hard for me not to keep these for myself because they are so darn cute :)

Day 26

Just a little time outside in the late afternoon enjoying the warmer weather. Have I said how much I love winters in Texas? ;)

Wednesday, January 26, 2011

Day 25

This crazy haired little dude walked into the office after his nap and gave me a huge laugh!

Look at his awesome bad hair day!!!!! If only I looked that cute with crazy hair :)

On another note, I love when my boys wake up from sleeping and have that cute sleepy face. Plus they are so warm and smell so yummy! Aww it's things like this I am going to miss when they are grown up.

Day 24

I am in a bowling league every Monday night with my dad, sister and brother! I love this league and look forward to it all week! Not only does it give me the chance to get out of the house but I get to spend quality time with my family who I adore :) I, however, am not the best bowler. My average is a mere 118. But...on this Monday night I was on fire! I bowled my first "turkey" ever!!!!!! A turkey in the bowling world is 3 strikes in a row :)
Now I know this is a terrible picture but it was from my phone because I left me camera at home. I'm the bottom name :)

Day 23

Our kitchen and living room make one giant circle, perfect for little boys to run around. As long as I can remember Aiden and Asher both would make the lap...either in their walker or once they learned how to walk. Well, now that they are older they love to race around the circle and getting in their way can mean a hue collision! Sunday was a lazy day at our house. Cameron came home right before lunch time from his out of town softball tournament so we spent the rest of the day laying around. The boys however, had a burst of energy and spent probably close to an hour running the lap and taking turns jumping over each other.

Oh to be a kid again ;)

Day 22

Date Night! Last weekend I was blessed with a date night with my husband and this weekend I got one with my boys. Cam was away at a softball tournament so the boys and I went to Saturday evening mass and then hit up Montana Mikes. It was so much fun!!!!! They are at such an awesome age right now. I love that we can pick up and go anywhere and that staying up a little later isn't such a big ordeal :)

Asher took this picture of Aiden and I :) What a great little photographer.

Day 21

I get email updates weekly about local things for kids to do in our area. I noticed that one a local ceramics place was having a Friday special of $4 for painting! So I emailed some friends and we all headed over there Day 21 afternoon for some painting fun! This was the first time I have ever taken the boys to paint ceramics but I have always wanted to. They each painted a small cross for Nana (Cam's mom) for her birthday. After we pick them up I am going to glue magnets to the back and bam!...2 super cute magents for Nana's fridge :)

cell phone pic
This place was seriously fun! I want to go back and paint the boys a birthday plate that they can use for their birthdays! I am not a painter at all, but they have stencils and stamps and all different kind of things for the less talented ;)

Day 20

We spent the entire morning and afternoon running errands which resulted in a very tired mommy and boys. When we got home around 2:30 pm I knew it was a little too late for a nap but I also knew that the evening was going to be a disaster without some kind of rest. So I put the boys back in their pjs to be comfy and we all laid in my bed for a little rest. Well 30 minutes later Aiden and I woke up to see this cutie still fast asleep...

I have to agree that Daddy's side of the bed is a great sleeping spot :)

Day 19

PJ day at Aiden's school and Asher wanted to join in!

Day 18

It was a hat kind of day :)

Day 17

Weekly league night with the fam :)

Da 16

After a crazy busy Saturday with a baby shower and the a late date night with the hubster it was inevitable that Sunday would be lazy! Since the boys spent the night with my parents Cam and I enjoyed  a morning of sleeping in and coffee in the peace and quiet...aww lovely :) In the midst of my lazy day I finished 1 book and picked up another. I LOVED the Hunger Games and am loving HP so far.
