Sunday was gorgeous! It was in the low 80's and sunny which of course makes for a perfect day in central TX! I feel so lucky that I get to raise my kids in the same area I grew up in. Taking them to places that my mom and dad use to take me makes my heart smile :) So in perfect tradition we loaded up the truck and headed downtown to eat at Dirty Martin's a famous hamburger restaurant. When we pulled up I can still remember being 7 years old and going in with my dad to eat up some greasy burgers, onion rings and shakes! Still smells the same, looks the same and still has the same type of college kid waiters that are a little more hippy then the average Austinite. After grubbing out, we drove out to the lake that's been drained this week. We walked around the same park that I did as that silly, carefree 7 year old girl. The boys loved throwing rocks in the water and looking for treasures in the mud, just like I use to. It's amazing to think that hopefully in the future they will bring their kids back to this place that will hold so many memories for our family. My future grandkids could walk on the same mud that my little feet use to...pick up the same rocks I held in my small hands and then the boys in theirs. Funny things was at the end of the day Cameron looked at me and said "you had a great time today didn't you?" Of course I answered with a huge smile "yes!" He said he knew I did because everytime he looked at me I was smiling and content. "I knew you loved today because it's what you use to do with your dad and I know how special that is to you." And it is...

Of course in true Jenny fashion I took a billion pictures but this one was my favorite. This is my little family right now...just the 4 of us and I couldn't be happier...
