The Grinch

Yesterday morning, Aiden was running a little fever so we decided to just chill around the house. I had recorded How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the Jim Carrey one) so I decided we would all sit on the couch and watch it.

I forgot how scary the Grinch seems at first, but the boys did well and enjoyed it.

At the end when the Grinch's heart grows I looked over at Aiden and he had tears in his eyes. I asked him what was wrong and he said, in the sweetest, most innocent voice ever, "Mommy, I don't care if the Grinch comes and takes all my presents. All I need for Christmas is my family and Jesus to be born." Melt.My.Heart :) This little boy is so precious and has the sweetest heart. I never would have imagined that he would get that message from the movie at such a young age.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone out there had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! For us I honestly have to say it was the best ever! Last year was a rough Thanksgiving mostly because the boys were in terrible moods all day which can lead to stress for parents. This year was completely different. We celebrated at my parents house with tons of family...30 people total! Funny thing...I didn't take a single picture :) It was kind of nice just relaxing and enjoying the food and drinks and not running around taking a million pictures like usual. I am trying to cut back on pictures because I take way too many and am beginning to learn that not every second of our life needs to me documented! Ha!

Don't you just love these shirts!!!!

So Thanksgiving day was awesome and this year I decided to hit up the Black Friday sales! I was at Target at 3:30am Friday morning with about 1000 other people in Georgetown! It was nuts and insanely fun all at the same time. I got everything I wanted and ended up saving $90!  Yay me :) Later that afternoon we headed out to Lake Travis to my uncle and aunt's new house. We spent another afternoon chillin with food and drinks...life is sooooo good!

Saturday was my niece Alexi's birthday party at Chuck e Cheese. I think the adults had more fun then the kids...hehe! After the party we headed home to get out all the Christmas decorations. Sunday we went to church, then came home and set up the tree, put out all the other little things and put lights on the house.

I am so insanely thankful for all the wonderful things in my life. I am beyond in love with my family. My boys (all  3 of them) are my world and give me a reason to smile everyday. Now on to Christmas...

Trick or Treating and the Circus!

So I know these are late but better late then never right? :)

We had a great year trick or treating! The boys are so big Cam and I just stood at the sidewalk and they ran up to every house by themselves. It was really fun and brought back so many wonderful memories of my own childhood and racing my sister to every house!

My parents and their grandkids

Patiently waiting...

Or very spooky pumpkin! Cameron let the boys draw the eyes and mouth and then he carved it!

A few weeks ago we took the boys to the Shriner Circus that came through town. This was Asher's 1st time and Aiden's 3rd. They loved every second of it!

The circus is never complete without some yummy treats...

good company...

And a horseback ride :)

Well we are off for a long weekend at my grandparents house! Be back next week with lots of pictures from out trip!

Happy Halloween!

So for our final day before Halloween we really didn't do anything to Halloweenish :) We had a soccer game, them softball tournament and by the time we got home we just relaxed! The boys and I did make some cookies to fill this adorable cupcake Halloween coookie jar that I bought last week.

Then I made these cute trick or treating pails for the boys. I got all the stuff at Michael's last week on clearance for $4! I cannot wait for them to carry them tonight.

I hope everyone has a super happy and safe Halloween! From our family to yours :)

Happy Healthy Halloween!

This evening we went to a local medical plaza that was hosting a "Happy Healthy Halloween" little festival. Some of the doctors offices stayed open and passed out fun treats for the kids. The local library was also there and the boys made a really cute pumpkin craft and sat down for a story time. The whole event was loads of fun! We met our good friends The Smiley's for some Halloween fun!

Day 4 of Halloween fun week was a success! I am so super excited for tomorrow because Cameron is taking off work early and we are headed out to our favorite pumpkin patch Sweetberry Farms for some last minute pumpkin fun!

Noah's Ark Parade and Carnival!

Today my little lion headed off to his preschool Noah's Ark theme day!

One of the reasons I have always wanted to be a stay at home mom was so that I could be a part of all the activites my boys will have in school. So I could not wait to volunteer for almost all the parties Aiden will have this year! I made these super cute pumkpin shaped sandwiches for the party.

After lunch the parents gathered outside to watch our little animals parade to the activity center for the carnival!

What a cute little lion :)

I love Aiden's school and how accepting they are. They let Asher go up and sing with his class for the parents. Needless to say he was thrilled!

After the performance the kids played a little bean bag toss...

Then fished for smiley face balls...

We dug for spiders...

and won some cool prizes!

It was so much fun seeing Aiden with all his friends. I think I enjoyed it as much as the boys!

Day 3 of Halloween week is complete! 4 more days of fun until Halloween!

Creepy Crawlers!

The boys and I made these delicious chocolatey treats this morning for a Halloween theme recipe swap playdate with our friends! I did the baking and the icing and the boys did the creepy crawler decorating. We had a fab time with some of our bestest friends :) Recipe swaps are one of my favorite playdates because everyone makes something yummy to share and brings copies of the recipe. So needless to say I totally pigged out this morning causing my jeans to fit a little tighter! Ha! Now it's time to prepare for Aiden's preschool Halloween party tomorrow :)

Orange and Black Day

Last Wednesday Aiden had orange and black day at his preschool. So I just had to order him a super cute Halloween shirt from etsy. He was so excited and looked so super handsome! Asher decided to wear his Halloween shirt as well that I won from this website. Both boys looked so super cute!

By the way, everyday this week I will be posting something Halloweenish! I LOVE halloween and we have something fun planned for everyday! Stay posted...

Buzz and Woody

I took the boys to get their pics made at JCPenney Portrait studio in their halloween costumes. They were so cute...Asher was a goofball (as usual) and Aiden was took his role of Buzz very seriously :)
