You will see this last week there was a theme in my head...
1. Shopping for fall clothes for the boys!I love fall...especially the clothes! I can't get enough so I was beyond thrilled to get a head start on a little shopping. Aiden needs everything...nothing from last year he can wear again. All his clothes go to Ash (see below). We headed off to Babies R Us because they were having a huge sale on clothes. I got Aiden a few outfits and some new pj's and both boys got a new pair of shoes. There were some really cute outfits I wanted to get Asher but he is another shopping trip. I usually take care of one kid at a time!
2. Having 2 boys!
I went through all of Aiden's clothes last year and Asher, well he pretty much already has a full wardrobe of fall/winter clothes. I feel so lucky to get to reuse the clothes I buy for Aiden. It really helps save money and I get to see all the cute outfits that I love 2 years in a row. Plus I love going through clothes and organizing them.
3. Football!
All over ESPN, which we watch religiously at our house, is football!!! I am so excited for football season to start, it's one of my favorite things about the fall! Go Longhorns and Cowboys!!!
4. Back to school!
Not for us but for everyone else! LOL! I love when school is back in session because the stores and parks in town are less busy which I love!! It also reminds me that my boys are still my little boys and get to stay home with me. I am not looking forward to the day they have to go off to school. I love staying home with them everyday and watching them learn and grow right before my eyes! Cameron and I are even contemplating Aiden going to preschool. I am just not ready for him to grow up yet :)
5. Our first cool morning of the season!
We got rain last night which kept me up part of the night. I woke up a little on the grumpy side mostly because I was still exhausted. But instead of sitting inside all day I dressed the boys and we loaded up to run a few errands. I was pleasantly surprised to step outside to a beautiful cool morning. The air smelled so fresh and crisp and seriously I could smell fall! It didn't last long but it gave me hope that these 100 degree days will hopefully be gone soon.
So as you can tell I love fall and am SO ready for it to be here!!!! Even if it doesn't cool down for awhile here there is football and fall decorations and pumpkin patches to keep us busy!

Here they are...
pictures of the house with new paint! I spent all last week painting the entry way, living room, dining room and kitchen. It was way more work then I had planned for but so worth it! I picked the same color throughout to make it easy. The color was just a little darker then the exsisting color in the living/dining and entry but is a whole new color for the kitchen! I still can't believe how different the kitchen feels. I love the new color. There are not any pictures of the living room because there are a few more things I need to do before I take pictures. Here are some befores and afters.
Entry way before (so after I uploaded these and looked at them you can hardly tell the color difference. Like I said before it's darker.)

5 things that made me smile this week :)
1. The $460 Cameron won playing poker last weekend!
We went over to my sister Emily's house Saturday evening for dinner and my brother in law invited Cameron to go and play poker with him and some buddies. I didn't care because I was so tired I just wanted to go home read and go to sleep but Cameron felt bad for leaving me so he said whatever he won I could have! I was asleep when he got home and woke up to the money sitting by the coffee pot! I couldn't believe it! When he woke up he insisted I keep it so we went shopping and bought all the paint, new curtains for the kitchen, a few other new decorations, new shoes for Aiden, new jammies for the kids and then the rest I gave him to buy a new saw and stuff to stain our back porch!
2. My new kitchen!
It looks so beautiful with the new paint and curtains. Everytime I walk through it I smile!
3. My wonderful husband
Last Friday evening I had a few too many glasses of wine while Cam and I were chillin at the house and woke up so sick Saturday morning. Instead of Cam making me feel like an idiot he got up with the kids and told me to stay in bed and sleep as long as I wanted. I didn't get up until lunchtime and by that time I felt better. He is seriously the best!
4. Steam in bag veggies
Easy and yummy...need I say more!
5. My mom's group
We went on so many fun playdates this week and I got to meet alot of new moms. This is just what I have been looking for and desperatly needed!
Have a great weekend!

I wanna paint mom!!!!!
These are the words I have been hearing from Aiden for the last 2 days while I have been painting the house. He wants to paint so bad and has been really good about not getting into my paint. So I decided to get some finger paints and paper for him and Aiden! Crazy but this was the first time they ever officially finger painted and
they loved it! So now when he wants to paint I will get out all his paints :)

This is Asher's "big boy" face! LOL!

This was more like hand painting for Aiden then finger painting :) Whatever works!

5 things that made me smile this week :)
So I am starting a new addition to the blog and every Friday I will write about 5 things that made me smile that week so here we go...
1. My new faucet!
We have had a leaky kitchen faucet for months and finally 2 weekends ago Cam decided to fix it! I love the new one so much!!!! It's so nice to have a soap dispenser in the sink so I don't have to have an ugly soap bottle out all the time. Anyway I love it!
2. Finding the perfect paint color!
I finally found the perfect paint color for our living room, kitchen, dining room and hallway! I looked at probably a hundred paint samples before I could find the right one! I have decided to paint all those rooms a pretty simple but nice color (to be revealed when I am done) and then I am painting the wall behind my couch an accent color! I cannot wait till it's all done!!!!
3. Purex Laundry Detergent!
It's the new all in 1 kind. I love it. My clothes have never smelled so good and I can't believe it's taken this long for laundry detergent companies to come up with something to great! It's makes me love doing laundry!
4. The beeping from my new security system!
The same weekend that we got the new faucet we also got a new security system for the house. Everytime a door is opened it beeps and I love it! Makes me feel super safe :)
5. The boys praying every evening before bedtime!
They are so cute I just can't help but smile :) Every night Cam, me, Aiden and Asher all kneel beside Aiden's bed and say The Lord's Prayer. Then we all go around and say a special prayer. It never fails the boys always bring a smile to my face. This week Asher prayed for DJ Rock (Yo Gabba Gabba) and Aiden prayed for the Wiggles and a new toy.
Hope everyone had a wonderful week and has a great weekend :)

Cupacakes and Friends :)
Last Friday my mom invited the boys over to make some yummy cupcakes! Of course they were super excited! We decided to make a few extra and take to the Crissey's as their house warming gift.

I thought these were cute in black and white :)

Saturday morning we packed up the car and headed to Arlington to visit the Crissey's at their new house! Their house was beautiful and there was so much room for all of us! It was great fun and we can't wait to go back soon.

How sweet it is :)

7 years ago today Cameron and I were headed to Jamaica for our honeymoon! Oh the memories! I wanted to post this yesterday but got really wrapped up in getting ready to go out so I didn't have time. Yesterday was our 7 year wedding anniversary! I have to say I am so suprised how great these last 7 years have been. It's not like I thought we would be unhappy at this point in our marriage I just never could have imagined how happy we would be! I love him more today then I did 7 years ago and from what he says he feels the same way :) I look forward to many more years of memories that will make together and I can't wait until we are old and gray and can look back at the amazing life that we led.
Last night we went out to dinner and a movie and while at dinner we talked about our future. In the next 7 years we hopefully will complete our family with one more baby (and if it happens to be a boy Cam said he might want to try for a 4th but I'm not so sure about that one), buy some land out in the country and build our dream house that we can grow old in, go on many fun vacations with our family, our children will start school (hopefully private) and start all their extracurricular activities and lastly Cameron will open his new office and start his Property and Casualty Insurance business along with his healthcare. So we have lots to look forward to and there is no one else in the world that I would want to go through it all with :)

Play dates and Playroom!
So I have finally after 3 years found a mommy/kids group that I love! For the past two weeks we have been so busy and out and about on the town meeting new moms and their little ones. Here are some pics...
Here is Jungle Jim. He is a bug guy and travels all over TX showing off his bugs and reptiles. The boys thought it was pretty cool but I won't lie...the snakes made me very nervous! LOL!

The show was in the library which has become one of our favorite places to go! After the show we went down to the kids room where they had a jeep for the kids to crawl in and play. The boys loved it!

The next play date was at our favorite park! It was hot (now that is an understatement!) but at least the park is shady. It was another fun morning for The Kirchoff 3!

And for our last outing (with pictures) we went swimming at our friend's Jessica and Austin's local neighborhood pool. The pool was gorgeous, the weather was perfect for swimming (hot) and Jessica was so nice and had yummy healthy snacks, juice and tea. We got to meet a couple of new moms and had such a great time that we didn't even notice by the time we left it was way past the boys naptime. Needless to say, Asher fell asleep on the way home and continued to sleep for almost 3 hours! Now that's a great day! hehe!

And last but not least, here are pictures of our new playroom! I say new because this room has been so many things since we moved in to this house almost 5 years ago. First it was a media room with oversize leather couches and a big screen with surround sound. Then after the kids came we never used it and Cam wanted to move his office back home to be around more so it became his office. Then he found it almost impossible to work at home mostly because he never wanted to actually work that it became an empty room for about a year. The boys were not very good with the stairs so we just never went up there. Finally about a month ago I decided that I wanted a playroom/school room. So I got busy cleaning it up, buying storage for toys and then school things for the walls. Everyday after the boys wake up from their nap we go upstairs and work on different learning things for an hour. I also put a TV up there with cable and the rocker that was in the nursery.

The door in the back leads to another bedroom which is a guest room right now (and a huge mess) but it will eventually be a nursery for our next child (hopefully arriving sometime in 2011 :)).
