Yesterday morning, Aiden was running a little fever so we decided to just chill around the house. I had recorded How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the Jim Carrey one) so I decided we would all sit on the couch and watch it.
I forgot how scary the Grinch seems at first, but the boys did well and enjoyed it.
At the end when the Grinch's heart grows I looked over at Aiden and he had tears in his eyes. I asked him what was wrong and he said, in the sweetest, most innocent voice ever, "Mommy, I don't care if the Grinch comes and takes all my presents. All I need for Christmas is my family and Jesus to be born." Melt.My.Heart :) This little boy is so precious and has the sweetest heart. I never would have imagined that he would get that message from the movie at such a young age.

Soccer Star!
A few weeks ago Aiden had his soccer pictures made. Last year his pictures turned out pretty funny so I was hoping this year we could get a good smile out of him. We still have yet to see the final product but here are some picsI snapped of him.

First Soccer Practice
Saturday Aiden had his first soccer practice. This year is very exciting because Cameron is the coach and our good friend Eve is the assitant coach. Plus 2 of Aiden's best friends are on the team! This is going to be a great year for the maroon team :)

Creative Beginnings Orientation
Yesterday morning Cameron and I took Aiden to his school orientation. We met in his classroom where the director of the program came and went over all the guidelines of the school. Then we met his teacher who is so super nice! And then, the cheesy mom that I am, signed up to help at practically every party they will have this year! I am really looking forward to Aiden going to school there. We found out yesterday that he will be going M/W/F instead of T/W/Th but after thinking about it and looking at all the adorable kids in his classroom I am okay with it. The funny thing is there is another Aiden in his class! Ha! So he will probably be known as Aiden K. I know how that feels, in my PreK class there were 4 other Jennifer's! Crazy! He starts next Wednesday and both of us cannot wait!
Last night Cameron and I were talking about his school and how cute it was. To my surprise Cameron said he was so sad the whole time we were there because Aiden is growing up too fast. I thought that was so sweet! I was surprising not sad at all but I'm sure on the first day that will be a different scenario. This is the first time Aiden has ever gone to any kind of school outside our home. These last 4 and half years having him at home have been so wonderful and I am beyond happy that I decided to keep him home. At school he was walking around talking to other kids, playing with toys and even gave his teacher a big hug when we were leaving. He was so confident and I felt like wow we have done a great job with this kid! Next week this new adventure will begin and both of us couldn't be any happier :)

4 year well check
This morning we went to Aiden's 4 year well check. He was sooooo cute and excited to be there.

He answered all Dr. Deharo's questions with no problem and the Doc was surprised at how quick he was! His stats were 39 lbs (90%) and 43" (90%). He is perfect :) We talked about a few issues like the dentist and car seats. We still have not taken Aiden to the dentist which he seemed like was no big deal. We brush and floss every night and he looked at Aiden's teeth and said they looked great. He did say to try and get him there sometime in the next 2 years just to get some xrays and cleaning but that right now it was not necessary. As far as the carseat he was very adament that he stays in a 5 pt harness for another year if not longer. I mean he got so serious when he was talking about and I could tell this was something he really believed in so I am taking his advice. We are going to have to get Aiden another seat because he is almost too tall for his Marathon. Here is the one I think we are going to get sometime this spring or summer

It's the Britax Frontier and after reading alot of reviews between this one and the Graco Nautilus I think this might be the best one for our family
After all that talk it was time for his shots. Dr. Deharo recommended only getting 2 shots today...the DTP and MMR. He said that sometimes when kids get the MMR and chicken pox vaccine they can have a really bad reaction. So we can wait until he is 5 because at 5 they don't get any shots or if he needs for school I can run him up there in August and get the shot without being charged for an appointment. Have I said before how much I love this guy :) He is truly great!
Here is Aiden before the shots.

I told him what was gonna happen and he was okay with it until...he actually got the shots. He was so upset :( He kept saying "that hurt really bad momma." So afterwards, even though it was 10am, we went to get ice cream at Sonic and then stop by Daddy's office so he could tell him all about it. Overall it was a great appointment and Aiden is sleeping like a baby now. Now he is officially 4!

Aiden is officially 4!
Yesterday my Aiden turned 4 years old. I have to admit I am kind of having a hard time with this one. I just can't believe how fast the last 4 years have gone!!! I do look forward to this year and all the new adventures it will bring.

I can still remember exactly how it felt to look into his eyes for the first time. My life was forever changed in a way I never imagined.

To celebrate we spent the morning at home doing a spiderman puzzle, playing Candy Land, Operation ad watching cartoons. Then after nap we headed out to JcPenney Portrait Studio to have his pictures made. They turned out AMAZING! He did so good. Then we headed back home to Cameron, my mom, dad, brother, sister, brother in law and niece and had a pizza birthday dinner with Cars cupcakes for dessert. It was the perfect way to end such a special day.
Happy Birthday sweet Aiden!

Aiden's Birthday Party!
Saturday we had Aiden's Lazytown Sports Birthday party! We had a great time with lots of friends and family. Aiden kept telling me over and over "thank you mommy for the best party ever."
Here are tables, decoratios and Sportacus cake (I made it! Hehe!)

The birthday boy

Coloring Sportacus pictures

Opening presents

Since Sportacus is all about exercise, Aiden led his friends in an exercise class. Only Lilly and Asher participated :)

But all the kids got Superhero certificates and gold medals.

Cake time!

Family and friends

This is one of my fav pics from the party.

This is Aiden and Lilly. They have known each other since they...well this far back

they are such great friends and always play so well together. I just wished we lived closer so we could see them more.
It was a great party and Aiden got alot of really great gifts. Thanks to everyone that came and made his day very special for him.
