I still remember the day I found out I was pregnant with Ash. It was September 1, 2006. Aiden was 7 months old that day and we spent the morning shopping and then Cameron was doing yard work that afternoon. I had secretly bought a test because I didn't want Cameron to overreact if it was nothing. Oh but it was something...a big something! When I told Cam he was surprisingly excited! I thought for sure he would freak out...that didn't come till later :).
My pregnancy with Ash was really hard at the beginning...I was super sick. But around 3 months I started feeling better and from then on it was a piece of cake!

The day Asher decided to arrive was a Saturday, 2 days before my scheduled induction. I remember waking up around 5:30 to a really strong contraction. I knew right away that this would be the day. Cameron went to his office to get some things done that morning and told me to call him when I wanted him to come home. So me and Aiden hung out around the house, still contracting but nothing too bad. Then I figured about noon that maybe we should go in. My mom came to watch Aiden and off we went only to be sent home! They said I was not in labor...yeah still mad about that one :). So back home we came. Around 7pm I could no longer take the pain and off to the hospital we went for the second time. This time I was not coming home! Asher was born later that evening at 11:15pm.

When we came home with Asher things were great! Being home with the boys wasn't as hard as I had imagined. We got on a pretty good routine and well, life was good!

Around 6 months life started getting harder. Asher was on the move and Aiden was not
too excited about that! From 6 months to his first birthday was the hardest time I have ever had...but of course all worth it.

His first birthday came and went and before we knew it our little baby was turning into a toddler. He was all over the house walking, then running and talking...it was great! Him and Aiden were becoming great friends and once again things were easy :).

Around the time he was 1 1/2 his little attitude kicked in full speed! He was so defiant and would listen to anything me or his dad said. Talk about frustrating! I like to say that Ash went through his terrible 2's when he was 1! I am still praying for that to be true :)

Now Ash is going through another sweet stage! LOL! His favorite thing to do is run up to me with his blanket and say "cuddle, couch!" We run to the couch and hold each other so tight! Moments like these I will miss one day when he is too cool for his mommy. Mommy, something I never thought Asher would call me but now love to hear! He use to say momma or ma but then one day it was mommy. Ahh...melts my heart everytime :)

There was a time that I thought I could never do it...I could never be a good mom to 2 kids so close in age. Looking back I am proud to say that I am doing it and we have all survived! LOL! I love my boys and I love my family just the way it is right now! I love you Asher...just the way you are :)
