It's all in the eyes

You know when people say you can see a person's soul by looking in their eyes?

Well I have to agree...

And his soul is pure, sweet, innocent and well let's face it goofy :)

Hello Buzz ;)

Happy Weekend!

Pasta Maker

Everytime Asher sees anything that might resemble a chef he yells "mommy it's a pasta maker!" Ha! He is so cute and is in love with "pasta makers." Gymboree has the cutest pasta maker costume I think I might be buying for him as a Christmas present because my little future pasta maker loves to dress up and cook up some sweet dishes for us :)
As we were spending some quality time together (while Aiden was in preschool) strolling down the Gtown square we came upon this cute little statue and my little pasta maker was so excited!

I love this kid :)

So it's a no go

on the baseball birthday party for Asher. Just as I was about to order everything off Etsy here comes my little stinker, almost 3 year old man. He walks up to me and in his most sweetest Asher voice says "Mommy I want a Chuck e Cheese birthday."

Ugh...I am not a huge fan of Chuck e Cheese but what's a mom to do. I love birthdays and want my kids to have a very memorable birthday every year. So if this is what Asher wants, then I guess it's what he will get. So now on to planning a Chuck e Cheese birthday party :)

I am raising a future frat boy ;P

Yesterday while we were all sitting on the couch enjoying a relaxing evening and watching some UT basketball, Asher stands up on the couch and says "I want pizza and doughuts!" Ha! Cameron and I almost fell off the couch we were laughing so hard. He just kept looking at us with an I'm not joking look on his face. It was priceless! Along with his interesting diet choices he has learned the Bud Light slogan and walks around all the time saying "Bud Light...Drinkablility!" I think we are going to have our hands full with this little mister in the coming years :)

One last thing...

before we leave town. Asher is finally potty trained!!!!! I am beyond excited and so happy about how easy it was. We did the 3 day potty training like I did with Aiden and once again by day 2 Ash got the hang of it. It's so easy training an older child I honestly cannot imagine why anyone does it when they are so young. Yesterday was day 3 and Asher didn't have a single accident! Woo hoo!
I thought I might be a little sad about my baby growing up but I'm not! I feel liberated! LOL! Now all we need is Ash to be in a big boy bed and we can move on from baby boys to big boys!
Ok now we are leaving town! Talk to you all on the flip side :)

Lots of Updates :)

So here we go...
Mother's Day was wonderful! Cameron and the boys spoiled me all day! I literally did nothing and it was heavenly. Cameron got me all the books from the Twilight series and have not put them down since :) I am a new fan!

Then on Monday Asher was refusing to take a nap so I brought him in my room and he was being the sweetest little thing EVER! I just had to take some pics of his sweet little face :)

On Wednesday we watched my niece Alexi for a few hours while her mommy went to work. She fell asleep while I was holding her so I laid her on the couch. Look at the precious little face!

Then last but not least Thursday was my 29th birthday. I was woke up to my boys...both of which were in awful moods. Not a great way to start off the day but typical for a mommy. Cameron had to go to work for awhile so me and the boys hung out and played. My mom made dinner for everyone and it ended up being a great day :)

Chuck e Cheese

We took Asher to Chuck e Cheese yesterday to eat dinner for his birthday! Needless to say he had a blast! When we got there we decided to get him a cake which was a big hit. My mom, dad, sister, niece and brother in law joined us for the celebration! Like I said...tons of fun!

My Asher Man...the Past 2 Years

I still remember the day I found out I was pregnant with Ash. It was September 1, 2006. Aiden was 7 months old that day and we spent the morning shopping and then Cameron was doing yard work that afternoon. I had secretly bought a test because I didn't want Cameron to overreact if it was nothing. Oh but it was something...a big something! When I told Cam he was surprisingly excited! I thought for sure he would freak out...that didn't come till later :).

My pregnancy with Ash was really hard at the beginning...I was super sick. But around 3 months I started feeling better and from then on it was a piece of cake!

The day Asher decided to arrive was a Saturday, 2 days before my scheduled induction. I remember waking up around 5:30 to a really strong contraction. I knew right away that this would be the day. Cameron went to his office to get some things done that morning and told me to call him when I wanted him to come home. So me and Aiden hung out around the house, still contracting but nothing too bad. Then I figured about noon that maybe we should go in. My mom came to watch Aiden and off we went only to be sent home! They said I was not in labor...yeah still mad about that one :). So back home we came. Around 7pm I could no longer take the pain and off to the hospital we went for the second time. This time I was not coming home! Asher was born later that evening at 11:15pm.

When we came home with Asher things were great! Being home with the boys wasn't as hard as I had imagined. We got on a pretty good routine and well, life was good!

Around 6 months life started getting harder. Asher was on the move and Aiden was not
too excited about that! From 6 months to his first birthday was the hardest time I have ever had...but of course all worth it.

His first birthday came and went and before we knew it our little baby was turning into a toddler. He was all over the house walking, then running and talking...it was great! Him and Aiden were becoming great friends and once again things were easy :).

Around the time he was 1 1/2 his little attitude kicked in full speed! He was so defiant and would listen to anything me or his dad said. Talk about frustrating! I like to say that Ash went through his terrible 2's when he was 1! I am still praying for that to be true :)

Now Ash is going through another sweet stage! LOL! His favorite thing to do is run up to me with his blanket and say "cuddle, couch!" We run to the couch and hold each other so tight! Moments like these I will miss one day when he is too cool for his mommy. Mommy, something I never thought Asher would call me but now love to hear! He use to say momma or ma but then one day it was mommy. Ahh...melts my heart everytime :)

There was a time that I thought I could never do it...I could never be a good mom to 2 kids so close in age. Looking back I am proud to say that I am doing it and we have all survived! LOL! I love my boys and I love my family just the way it is right now! I love you Asher...just the way you are :)

Asher's 2nd Birthday Party

Yesterday we celebrated Asher's 2nd birthday with a big party at his favorite park. It was Yo Gabba Gabba theme...his favorite cartoon. Overall it was a big success! We had good food, good friends and family and tons of fun!
