Scrapping like Crazy!!!

I am so behind on scrapping and desperatly need to finish Aiden's 2nd year before he turns 3 in a month. So I ordered all the pictures I wanted to scrap, picked them up and this morning alone have done 8 pages! I am super excited about that! Now I only have about 8 more to go...woo hoo! Then I can start my Christmas 2008 book and then finish Ashers book before he turns 2 in May! While I love digi scrapping I am still making the old fashion books for my boys. I journal in them and in all honesty I like the personal factor about doing in with paper, scissors, glue and pictures. Idigi scrap all our family outings and holidays...except for Christmas. I am still old school on Christmas!
My mom bought me one of those scrapbook organizers on wheels (looks like a suitcase) for Christmas. I have been wanting one forever but was never willing to spend the money on it. Every time I would go to Michael's with my sister (which is about once a week) I would look at them and talk about how bad I needed one. My sister caught on and told my mom about it. She thought it was crazy but after seeing how I screamed with joy when I opened it she knew she got me the perfect gift. So after organizing all my goods I got in some serious scrapbook mode. That's why I've been so productive! Now I just need to order my photobooks from Shutterfly with all my digi scraps and 2008 is almost done!

Black Eye, New Christmas Tree and Sick Kiddos!

Those are the 3 phrases that describe our weekend! Asher got sick on Friday with fever and runny nose. I was so bummed that he was sick and worried about us getting sick for Christmas. Saturday was a little better...Asher was not so grumpy but Aiden started showing signs of a runny nose. We stayed in the house all day which about drove us all crazy. In the afternoon Asher and I were laying my room playing cars and trains. I laid on the ground and closed my eyes and suddenly felt this terrible sharp pain on my eye. Asher had thrown a little Thomas the Train at me. I ran to the bathroom to find a 3 inch bump sticking off my eyebrow! I freaked out and ran to the kitchen to show Cameron. So needless to say I spent the next 2 hours with ice on my eye. Here is my beautiful black eye Sunday morning.

Then Sunday, since we were so tired of being in the house all day Saturday, we decided to take a shopping trip to Target. While we were there I noticed they had their Christmas trees on sale. So we bought a new beautiful white Christmas tree with multicolor lights! It's my dream Christmas tree! It was originally $120 on sale for $48! I was so super excited!!!! I was going to wait until mext year to get it but couldn't pass up a deal that good. Even Cam was excited about it...which is rare! LOL! We came home and decorated our new tree and put our little tree in Aiden's room. He was so excited about that. He sat in there for almost a hour just looking at it! I think we are going to get Asher a little tree for his next year.

After we put the tree up and and cleaned up the mess I decided to dress the boys in the Christmas outfits and take some pics. To my surprise I actually got a few good ones!

After such a crazy weekend I find myself dealing with a crazy busy week! I have to clean my house top tp bottom, make my grocery list, grocery shop and finish wrapping a couple of presents all in just a few days while taking care of children on the mend! However I have to admit I love being busy and am so excited about Christmas!!!!

Gugie is gone!!!!!

Gugie (pronounced gu-gee) is Asher's pacifier. He made up the name for it...as you could probably tell. Well yesterday after a long morning of shopping we came home and the boys were beyond exhausted! So we did our little thing as we always do before naptime...gather gugie, blankie and Mikey only to find out that we did not know where gugie was. So I went on a mad search around the house looking everywhere! Could not find it. So with Asher standing next to me crying because he was so tired I just put him in his bed without it. He cried for a few minutes and then went to sleep. So during his nap I was once again scouring the house for it but could never find it. I just knew that bedtime was going to be a nightmare without it. But to my surprise he went down at bedtime and didn't cry a peep! So Cameron and I talked about it last night and it's bye bye gugie! I am still going to look for it because I know if he finds it he will want it again. I just can't believe how easy it was to take away! I am so proud of my big boy!!!
Here are some pictures of Asher that I took the other day that were to adorable and one of him with his gugie and blankie.

Oh and I found these in the same folder. The boys were being real huggie the other day after nap time.

I love the look of Asher's face in this one. It shows how sweet he is and how much he loves Aiden.

Hosting Christmas this Year!

Yes I am! We have a really big family and it's been a really long time since we all got together for Christmas. When I was growing up I remember every Christmas everyone would get together, eat tons of food, exchange presents and just enjoy each others company. I really wanted to relive that this year. I want my boys to look forward to the huge family gatherings every holiday season. So I invited my ENTIRE family to my house this year! I think it was about 40 people total. So far we have RSVP's for 23. This will be my second Christmas to host. The first time I hosted was 4 years ago...our first Christmas in our house. I remember staying up almost all night cooking and spending almost all of Christmas day cleaning and making sure everyone was happy. While it was great fun it was alot of work. This year I planned a potluck Christmas so I wasn't stuck with all the cooking. I mailed out invitations and told everyone to cook and bring their favorite holiday dish. I can't wait to see what everyone brings. I think it makes Christmas much more personal then just cooking out of a magazine or cookbook. We are also doing a white elephant gift exchange. That way we are not stuck buying gifts for everyone. Plus I think it will be tons of fun! The rules are that the gifts be around $10 and can either be serious or funny! Being that my family is a little on the crazy side it will be interesting to see what kind of gifts there are! So overall I am super excited but I have tons of work to do! Even though I will not be stuck cooking all the food I am starting to clean and decorate so my house looks perfect and so that all the people that I love more then anything can have a perfect Christmas!

Boy's had their Christmas picture made!

I took the boys to Kiddie Kandids this morning to get their Christmas pictures done and they turned out very cute! Every year since Aiden's first Christmas I have had their pictures made at Kiddie Kandids because they have the cutest backgrounds. Last years pic was not that great so I was excited that this years was much better!
Here is the link to look at them

I decided to have them wear them jammies this year because I love them! This turned out to be such a great idea. Neither boys wanted to take them off after the picture so since it was super cold outside I just let them wear them! Both boys are at such a great age right now. They were perfect during the pictures and then all it took were some crackers to keep them entertained while I shopped around Babies R Us while we waited for the pictures to print. What a great morning!

Our House has Lights!!!

I finally coxed Cameron to put lights on the house last weekend. We started the morning off by going to our local Applebees for all you can eat pancakes supporting the high school ROTC. The boys had so much fun and we ate tons of pancakes! After pancakes we were off to decorate the house. Cameron put lights on the house while I decorated the front porch and the boys ran around the yard with an exercise ball. Now our house looks beautiful and very festive! I love this time of year!!!!

I am very excited...tonight Cameron and I are going shopping for the boys! We got a flyer in the mail saying that Toys R Us is having a big sale tonight from 8-10pm so my mom is coming over to stay with the boys while they are sleeping so we can shop! The past 2 years I have done all the Santa shopping by myself so this year I am really excited that we are doing it together. Cameron is also really excited! He already told me he is picking out all the toys because he knows what boys want! LOL! After our spree at TRU we stopping by Target to pick up a few more toys. Asher loves the show Yo Gabba Gabba and Target is the only place that sells that line of toys.

I just wanted to say that I hope everyone is having a Happy Holiday season and you should all be receiving our Christmas card very soon in the mail!
